Free Cloud to Store You Music

I am not sure if you have heard it but just a days ago, Google just announced some free unlimited storage with their Cloud server through Google Drive.  This even got the whole cloud storage industry shaken because this particular offer is targeted at students and teacher or basically those who are taking up education.  Basically, it is a huge population that potentially would need cloud storage.

Thing is, it might be for educational purposes, still google says all files uploaded to the cloud server is encrypted so they would not know what you just placed there.  That means that won't stop you and me from uploading some really cool music to the drive.  Makes me think about what I had written in my previous post.

But then again, I wanna warn you guys that even if it is encrypted, that won't stop google drive from decrypting your files.  That means if you plan to upload some illegal stuff like movies, then it might not be a good place to store.  Still that won't stop us from loading our favorite song collection and easily download it to our phone so we can have some new to listen everyday.

Thanks google for this and we are hoping right now to try and test your new drive!!! :)

Music Collection To Keep

I am a music lover and I love to keep songs of all kinds.  It doesn't matter what kind of genre it is, as long as there is a good bit, a good lyrics and keeps my mind bouncing with it.

Over the years I have collected a handful of music and songs and I have been wondering what is the best place to keep them safe.  This songs started out with just a few hundred until I got into the music industry and got to hang out with musicians.  Soon I got into a band that led me to collecting so much songs.

I don't just listen to them.  I love to keep them and I hate deleting my collection because I am the type of guy that carefully selects the songs and I love.  I feel it is so much waste just to throw away this collection.

So when my list got too big, I started getting some external hard disk.  Thanks to technology, there is now 1TB drives that you can just carry around.  This mega sizes I only dream about when I first started collecting the songs.

The draw back however is that it is very prone to all kinds of elements.  I mean, what if it accidentally gets wet.  That would mean total lost of all my songs.   And that is just one accident.  There are countless of ways that could happen and that is what I fear most.

I've heard of CLOUD storage which I wish to try because of the number of ways one can access it and the number of devices I could link to it.  I mean, this is very convenient because loading my collection to my iphone is now very easy.

What do you guys think?  is online storage of my songs a good idea?  Has anyone tried it?  Would really love to hear your thoughts about this.
